Palace Of The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom System Analysis

The mansions of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom is the important component of Chinese modern architectural history, but there is less study on its form and standards at present. This dissertation regards the 18 mansions' relics as the main research object, based on the research productions of the history of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and the mansions of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom done by scholars in the past, and combines historical literature, survey and study on the spot. The dissertation will add some new materials to Chinese modern architectural history and deepen the cognition on the complexity of Chinese modern architectural transformation. In the view of research approach, the author takes "object" as foundation and hope this dissertation can offer a new thinking way for study on the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.The dissertation consists of four chapters. In the first chapter, it introduce the background of the mansions of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, its development with the change of investiture system and the important function of Craftsman Organization and Workers Organization in the course of building the mansions.The second chapter mainly single out five typical mansions' relics of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom to study in order that the following chapter set up on the basis of reliable first-hand information.The third chapter and the last chapter are most important components in this dissertation.
