Road Transport Of Dangerous Goods Risk Assessment

The development of dangerous goods transportation on road can both promote social productive forces and result in safety and environment problems. The quantity risk assessment (QRA) method which can improve the reason of human's behavior is able to quantify the risk in dangerous goods transportation on road, so that the level of risk management can be improved.The dangerous characters of dangerous goods are analyzed, some common risk assessment methods and the risk assessment standard on industry are introduced, and the risk assessment system based on dangerous goods transportation is developed, then the QRA method is applied into the system. Three models about risk, individual risk and society risk are developed and are verified in two transportation situation which consists of either single dangerous goods or multifarious dangerous goods. The results indicate that the risk assessment system based on dangerous goods transportation can quantify the risk in dangerous goods transportation on road. The system can provide foundation of policy decision for risk policy maker. The results also indicate that the models have specific theory significance and application value.
