With the development of SCM(single-chip microprocessor) and control technique, the governor of diesel engine is developing from mechanical governor to electronic governor, many kinds of electronic governor have been developed. Many of these governors adopt traditional PID as control law. The traditional PID controller has many advantages, such as simple structure, high reliability and stability, but it is difficult to ensure the diesel works efficiently in all conditions.By analyzing the traditional PID control and fuzzy control algorithm, the thought of combining fuzzy logic control with PID control and the intelligent fuzzy-PID control arithmetic is presented in this paper. The hardware and software design was finished based on the OPLC .According to the experiment, the design of the digital diesel electronic control system is reasonable and reliable, and can meet the needs of the diesel speed. The fuzzy -PID control arithmetic is theoretically feasible.
