Urban Fringe Residential Community Development Model Study

Innovation in economic system and transformation in social structure in our country have affected in all aspects. The innovation changes residents from "people in department" into "people in society". In old days, the phenomenon that department take charge of residents in all aspects has gone and residents should join in society, besides, forming the framework of "small government, big society". However, living communities have the most intimate relationship with residents. Besides, there are lots of issues in the urban fringe. No other than forming harmonious, healthy and comfortable living communities, cities even the whole country could comprehensively develop. Once, based on the feature of specialty, when constructing living communities, planners and architects were concerned for the "hardware" that is substance space, and ignored the "software" that is social environment. Therefore, I study living communities in urban fringe on all aspects and conclude the plan model. Expecting it can promote the development of communities. Besides, propelling the development of cities and society.The part of fundamental research includes the relative conceptions, structure of composition and the primary features. It defines the study targets, meanwhile, introduces the conception of integral development and the methodology of system study.The part of practice illustration research analyzes three living communities case and studies the reason through combining the practice of urban planning.The last part combines the conclusion above and advances the principle and model of living communities in urban fringe. It concludes the opinions in three aspects that management system, social environment and substance space.
