A Study On The Environment Of Community In Wuhan Urban Fringe

The community which sits in the unique geographical entity,the Urban fringe due to its unique geographical space, the social and historical background , and the objective needs of urban development, develops not only different from a normal city, also from the rural area. The construction and development of the community in the Urban fringe now is a very important and sensitive subject in the field of human settlement in china, as it relates to urban, sociology, economics, ecology, environment study and many other relevant field.The thesis takes Wuhan for example, starts from the general conditions and problems of the community, tries to find the objective law and key elements in the course of its evalution, discusses sustainable development in urban fringe in the architectural way.The thesis begins with the theoretical foundation for building the community in the urban fringe with a view to provide theoretical support to Wuhan urban fringe. It reviews the development of Wuhan urban fringe, analyses the formation and characteristics of the community, and points out two common ways for constructing the community.Secondly, the thesis analyses status of the community in Wuhan urban fringe,puts forward problems from the 4 aspects, the community living space form and living environment, the development and construction of the community, as well as social problems caused by environmental degradation .Then, the thesis analyses the objective law and key elements in the course of its evaluation, tries to re-examine the development vision and value system of its development model.On this basis, the thesis starts from sustainable development, guides by a virtuous circle of the nature and ecology system and the humanities and society system, explores an Architecture way for building sustainably compound community of equilibrium of nature environment, production environment and the living condition in the urban fringe.
