The mechanism capability (crushability intensity and resist impact capability) and precision of B-BaCrO4 delay composition were studied. Crushability intensity was studied by screw pressure machine. The performance of resist impact capability was studied in the free Hopkinson Bar experiment.The effects such as the reducer granularity of delay composition (the difference of granularity distributed) ,content and composition of bond and the difference of the way in pressing the delay composition were analyzed in theory and also studied by test.Some useful conclusions are as follows:(1) Within the certain granularity range, when the granularity of the boron is small, the delay precision of the delay composition is good, the crushability intensity become improved; resist impact capability become good.(2) The high content of the bond made against the delay precision . Hence, the added appropriate quantity of the bond may enhance mechanism capability of delay composition.(3) The right kind and content of the bond enhance the crushability intensity and the resist impact capability.(4) When the delay composition is moisture absorption, the coherence of the pressing delay composition become good, it enhance the crushability intensity and the resist impact capability.The designed B-BaCrO4 delay composition is satisfied with high precision ( < ±5% ) and high mechanism performance ( > 100, OOOg) .
