With the fast development of information science and digital technology, sonar system is digitized and intelligentized gradually. As beam forming is the important part of sonar signal processing, it's necessary to design digital and high performance beam former. In this thesis, the beam forming algorithm of air borne dipping sonar system is introduced and the emphasis is placed on the realization of the system. The content can be summarized as follows:Firstly, the basic theory of sonar technology is described, then, some ordinary beam forming algorithms are introduced.Secondly, a beam forming algorithm of hydrophone array is presented, and adaptive method is adopted to optimize the beam pattern. A FIR filter has been used to implement the beam forming algorithm and the result of simulation is given.Thirdly, according to the simulation results and the index of system performance, the hardware circuit is designed, which is based on a 'DSP+CPLD+DRAM' pattern. The practicability of hardware is analyzed, and the realization of different function is also discussed.At last, the procedure of system software design is described in details, including system work flow, optimization of calculating etc. Finally the debugging course of software and hardware is presented, and some conclusions are given. |
