North China Manchu Rural Residential Areas To Update The Design Study

Most of the minor nationality in China live in remote and backward rural area. .Today, these villages are going through an unprecedented change, including every aspects of life from economy to ideology. Its essence is to change the areas from traditional agricultural society to modern industrial society. The extant traditional local-style dwelling houses which developed and improved in the agro-farming society have conflicted with the rural life in the urbanization process today. The individual culture in the rural areas are obscured, even disappeared. The contradiction between population and cultivated land is sharpened, the deterioration of the rural environment is growing in intensity, and these problems will directly influence the sustainable development of China's economy in this century. So how to solve this problem, alleviate the pressure of the ecological environment, stimulate the vitality of the individual culture, avoid the monotonous appearances of village buildings , and coordinate the relationship between production , daily life , and ecology is the subject of rural local-style dwelling houses renovation .Through investigating Wudaogou village in the Manchu autonomous County of Qinglong, this thesis focuses on the local-style dwelling houses renovation of traditional villages. We review the experiences of studying traditional villages from geography, economy and history, and then introduce them into the discussion. That is to say, it tries to establish a new method that study the renovation of village in a whole viewpoint. Therefore, through the integration of disciplines, by two approaches: Ecological alteration, Extending local nationalities culture, combining local economic conditions, the mode of production and traditional culture, it could make the new local-style dwelling houses concert with macroscopically ecological environment. Only if based on economical and ecological thinking, we could achieve a kind of more rational local-style dwelling houses renovation that develops with environment harmoniously.
