The horizontal screw decanter is a kind of important equipment in national product. And its position is very high in the industries such as chemical industry, environmental protection, and national defense. The drum's rotating speed and the rotating speed difference between drum and spiral stock pusher are very important variable parameters of the horizontal screw decanter when it is being operated. Because the effect and output of separation are determined by the rotating speed and the rotating speed difference between drum and spiral stock pusher. Most of drive device in horizontal screw decanter are planet differential gearing in use in our country at present. Because there is much weakness in using electromotor drive planet differential gearing we may use hydraulic transmission instead of the electromotor drive planet differential gearing to drive the horizontal screw decanter. The hydraulic transmission has many priorities to the electromotor drive planet differential gearing.The main content of this thesis is to design an electric hydraulic servo control system which is adapted to the speed regulation of the horizontal screw decanter. Firstly, we select the proper elements by static design, and the basic frame of the electric hydraulic servo control system is built up. Secondly, after dynamic analyzing we design proper controller which can fulfill the system's dynamic requirements. At last, the math model of this system is set up. And this speed regulation loop is simulated by using SIMULINK software package which is a part of MATLAB. The opinion of operation is given.In the research of this thesis, the application and practicability is criteria for design plan and research content. Although we select one specific model we can get some useful ideas and methods from the research of this thesis when we design electric hydraulic servo control systems of other model horizontal screw decanters.
