This thesis firstly discussed the equivalent surrogate method that is used in engineering research, and pointed out the advantage and disadvantage of this method. In terms of the process characteristic of explosive reactive armor, the equivalent surrogate method, equivalent formula and two kinds of structure of equivalent target about explosive reactive armor were established.Applying the method of numerical analysis, we labored the process of kinetic energy projectile penetrating homogeneous armor. In this thesis, armor-piercing process that kinetic energy projectile penetrated homogeneous target of different thickness was calculated, analyzed the relationship between the thickness of homogeneous armor and the residual depth of penetration. In the same time, we analyzed the experimentation data of explosive reactive armor, and achieved the relationship between different impact point and residual depth of penetration. Making use of the two conclusions, we achieved the relationship between different impact point of explosive reactive armor and the thickness of homogeneous armor, built up the equivalent surrogate relationship between explosive reactive armor having boundary effect and homogeneous armor, and calculated the equivalent values of the equivalent target of explosive reactive armor. Finally, the structure of homogeneous target was designed.
