Oriented Home Products Custom-designed Man-machine Design Method

This paper stems from "863" projects " The Three Dimensional Digital Design System and Tools of Industry-Oriented" ,"the Key Technical Research of Three Dimensional Digital Customized Design for Information Home Appliance" and National Natural Science Fund. "A Study of Product Design Process Coupled with Multi-Perception Factors".This paper studied the ergonomic methods of product design and the applied technology in the field of Home Appliance customized design. Detailed research items include: the anthropometric measure arithmetics of Chinese adults, the mapping methods between human dimensions and product parameters, the multi-object optimize design of Home Appliance, analysis of the demands for customizing design of database, construction of the databases of three dimensional manikins and hand models. A prototype system is established on the SolidWorks platform based on Component Object Model (COM) technology, which realized the ergonomic design of Home Appliance.The prototype system has been integrated with the Computer Aided Industrial Design System "China Design Version 1.0''. The testing results showed that the method of system building is feasible, and can assist designer in product ergonomic design effectively.
