Neighborhood-style Urban Settlement Pattern Studies

People will care more about their residence with the improvement of economy and standard of living. A large number of community with high quality avalanched since residential industry come into market,these guarded community brought us grace living environment, but there are some problem in it. The thesis tried to educe one new community mode-the "Housing Block", which involves the traditional concept of Housing block, to enhancement the shortage of the guarded community.The thesis first expatiate the cause of the thesis , and retrospect the history of "Housing Block" , then to discuss the "Housing Block" in detail from the aspects of community design and residential design , in the end of the thesis, three examples-"XiMen Street" of Xianju , China, "By Town" in Japan, "Wonder Land" in ShenZhen, China are adduced to explain the application of the "New Urbanism" .
