In this paper ,finite element medthod is employed to analyze the shearing stress of concrete bridge decks with and without waterproofing layer. Based on the indoor shearing test of LLM testing system, the influence of waterproofing materials on the interlayer strength of concrete bridge deck is studied on consideration of the different types, amount, vertical stress, shearing ratio, etc. The interlayer shearing strength formula for concrete bridge deck with waterproofing layer under the actual vehicle load and shearing checking index are obtained. The indoor water penetration testing,pull-.out testing and rut depth testing and the influence of asphalt mixes rolling on waterproofing layer are carried out, to establish the relationship between asphalt mixes rolling temperature , ambient temperature and the adhesive strength between the waterproofing layer and the concrete,Through the analysis of structure, the interlayer shearing strength, rut depth and comfortableness, the design method of asphalt concrete pavement for concrete bridge deck is presented .Finally the construction technique of waterproofing layer and the asphalt concrete pavement are discussed.
