Because the waterproofing question on the concrete bridge deck has not been regarded enough, the concrete bridges were always destroyed prematurely. Especially all kinds of damages occurred on the bridge deck pavement, which have directly influenced safety of steering and the duration of bridge structures and have done a lot of traffic inconvenience and have caused huge economic loses and have not achieved the anticipated economic efficiency. To recent, there are not the norms or specifications for the bridge deck waterproof in our country. So, theoretical and experimental study on the bridge waterproof are very important of finding some effective means to resolve the water damages of bridge and offering theoretical help to designing bridge deck, which have important theoretical meaning and application value.Based on surveying the water disease of bridge, combined with the most new research at home and abroad, this paper analyzed the reasons and mechanism of causing disease. Through the orthogonal test, the shearing experiment and the waterproofing experiment and the anti construction hurt experiment were carried. The results indicated that the impact of ambient temperature on the shearing strength of the waterproofing layer is the most obvious. Waterproofing layer of 1.5mm with a protected layer (macadams) is the best waterproofing construct. The rubber-modified bitumen has the better waterproofing performance which is accorded with the request of waterproof. So, the best construct of waterproofing layer is the rubber-modified bitumen waterproofing layer with the thickness of 1.5mm and the protected layer of macadams with the diameter of 5-10mm.The asphalt concrete is the classical viscoelasticity material. The viscoelastic research of the bridge deck is almost blank. Basing on the deck structure of real bridge, the paper analyzed the linear elasticity and the linear viscoelasticity of asphalt concrete deck using the FEM software—ABAQUS. The results are well consistent to the experiment results, which show that the linear viscoelastic results are more accurate than the linear elastic. At the same time, the effect trend of the variant factors on the maximal shearing stress is analyzed in the paper. Combining the experimental results, the bridge deck structure below is the best construct with rubber-modified bitumen waterproofing layer with the thickness of 1.5mm and the protected layer of macadams with the diameter of 5-10mm and the asphalt concrete deck with the thickness of 13cm.At last, the construction technique of the waterproof layer on bridge deck is discussed that could be referenced by the construction in site.
