Research On Development And Utilization Of Underground Space At Industrial Heritage Site In Old City

The urban industrial heritage site has its obvious character and value, now academic world has paid close attention to protect and to update industrial heritage site, but during the protection and updating period, because of some factors, the industrial heritage site has confront a host of problems. At the same time, development and utilization of underground space has become a trend of urban modernization, the development and use of underground space has played a vital role in alleviating the shortage of building land, resolving the contradiction of urban development and protecting the style and features of history culture.This article is not only try to break through the limitation of merely investigate the architectural industry heritage, but also from the perspective of locations and requirements of the city, we grasp the overall development and comprehensive utilization of underground space on the whole, and hope that via the development and utilization of underground space, it will cause a positive axon-action in protection and updating of urban industry heritage.The starting point of this research is the problem when protecting and updating ancient industrial heritage site confront, it has proposed that the development and utilization of underground space is a reasonable and available approach to promote the protection and updating of heritage site. This article is focusing its research on the function, pattern, conformation and layout of the development and utilization of the underground space of ancient industrial heritage site.
