| With the rapid development of economy, especially the increasing demand for offices due to the dramatically growing of service sector, a trend of establishing urban planning of CBD (central business district) appears in a number of cities of China result from the demand of market. Depending on the objective fact, this dissertation focuses on how to analyze the urban design, as a method and tool, of CBD in the view of application form and to solve the problem of central physical space design. In fact, through the Urban Design which concentrates on two basic elements of the two organizations (the use of physical space function and space form of CBD) and also controlling and instructing two basic elements, a reasonable framework of development is prepared for the eventual formation of CBD.This article combines the work characteristics of modern city design and nails down the research scope and control element systems of CBD based on the concept evolution of CBD and formation conditions of the basic theory of cognition. In addition, it divides the control elements into three levels, which are the basic element, the specific element and the control content based on the practice of urban design. As much as focusing on the basic elements, this article also selects five actual overseas cases of CBD to start quantitative and qualitative analysis. In fact, it sums up from the basic framework of urban design which highlighting the characteristics of two basic control elements (use of function and space form), and it mentions the objectives and principles of urban design. Aiming at specific elements, this article is based on the research of CBD in Suzhou to analyze the content, control methods and control points of six specific control elements which are land functions, building functions, traffic functions, building forms, open space, visual landscape. Lastly, the article gives a number of proposals to the transformation from control elements to the language management of city planning. |
