Forecasting System, Gis-based Road Traffic Accidents

In recent years, with the number of vehicles and road traffic mileage increasing, there?ˉs a continously rising number of traffic accidents.Traffic safety, traffic jamming, and environmental pollution is a worry to the three major areas of today's international traffic problems, and among these traffic safety is the most serious . In order to continuously adapt to the new situation of traffic safety, the management departments try to reduce and prevent traffic accidents by taking steps to study and apply computer technology to make scientific predictions towards traffic accidents.To do that, constructing accident prediction system is necessary.Prediction and analysis of road traffic accidents is one of the major ways to increase the level of road safety. In this thesis, I conduct a research about the safety conditions of roads in our country, analyze the theories about which cause road accidents and study the theories and methods for road accident prediction.And I also analyze road accidents by adopting the theories and methods so that a complete, scientific and systematic analysis and prediction can be achieved.To adapt to the development of transportation departments and make a fully effective use of vast amounts of traffic accident data, it is necessary to establish the prediction system of road accidents by using advanced information technology, getting the accident information related to road safety situation. Therefore it can provide effective and timely reference for analysis, prediction, and solution. First. it analyzes the causes of traffic accidents;Secondly, it briefly introduces the basic principles of road accident prediction, and it studies the apperance of accident black spots, factors of accident happening and prediction system. Then it analyzes the demand for constructing the PGIS accident prediction system, and form the computerized model for the road accident prediction system. Last, through need analysis, it talks about the designation thoughts based on PGIS as well as system designation framework and division of function modules. It also draws the basic systematic function designation by obeying the existing information systems of Zhejiang high-way traffic police station.
