Suitability Of The Ancient City Development Model

With rapid development of social economy, Because of the factors like promotion of globalization, prevalence of mass consumption culture, unbalanced development of economy and society, progress of space technology and diversity of the city itself, Huize Ancient Town is facing a more complicated space and social problem than ever before.Based on the analysis of basic conditions of Huize, as well as predecessors'protection and research for the ancient town, the thesis chooses three cases which are Huize Baojing Malls Project, Huize Old Cinema District Project and Huize Beiwaijie District Project as entry points of the research. The three cases belong to different zone bits and stand for three different status quos and future requirements, which provide possibility for us to find some clues, corresponding to three different theory patterns of city development, which are urban redevelopment, ancient update and ancient regeneration.The structure of the thesis is to grasp key cases, unify related theory, belt surface and discuss.A conclusion is given in the thesis, and it also puts forward that the model of healthy development available for Huize Ancient Town is a systemic project.
