Large scale application's failures of bag filters are mainly reflected in the high running resistance and the bag life does not meet the design,which set higher requirements on the bag filter's design, installation, operation management and so on.The traditional serial design patterns of bag filter, which is over-relianced on a single expert's experience and knowledge, affects the reliability of bag filter's design.Therefore, it is necessary to implement advanced design methods.All bag filter life's design knowledge,installation knowledge and operation management knowledge are integrated to establish background database, the factors that affect the bag filter are fully took into account, and improving the design of the bag filter selection accuracy and reliability.This paper brings forward the digital design concept of bag filter. using visual programming language Visual Basic (VB) establish a data integration platform on bag filter's design, numerical simulation and technology assessment,and using SQL Server database to establish the background database to construct digital design system of bag filter. Be different from the traditional serial design patterns, the parallel design patterns are used in the digital design of bag filter,which will consider the full life cycle of bag filter's factors.This digital design system of bag filter can provide collaborative work environment for designers avoiding one-sidedness design.This paper's research method and results provide theoretical basis and technology support for the bag filter design mode's change from the serial design mode to parallel design mode.This digital design data integration platform of bag filters interface is friendly and can be used expediently.So far, the database of filter media, filter bag, pulse valve, cleaning equipment, air distribution equipment and project examples have established to meet the design requirements.Because the database of the assessment and running management have not yet completed,this system can not meet the engineering requirements and should be improved and enriched continually.
