"Data island" problem is extremely serious in product and process. Design,analysis, manufacture and test are uncontinuous. The system could not achieveautomated transfer and exchanged information. Different departments realize datasharing difficulty. Product development and process are inconvenient because ofdesign and manufacture data duplication, loss, version confusion and multipledatabases coexistence. Product data management, storage and transfer lack of unifiedmanagement and maintenance seriously.The integration between CAD/CAE anddigital design platform is the key to improve virtual design and analysis management.It can greatly improve the system efficiency, shorten product development cyclesand increase productivity.The CAD/CAE and digital design platform integration was analyzed to build aspecial-purpose engineering platform. The platform based on swinging angle millinghead was used to solve the issues, such as manage and transfer parts datainformation. In VC, CAD software PRO/E, CAE software ANSYS, ADAMS anddatabase SQL SERSER were integrated using object-oriented. The specialengineering platform was constructed to achieve parts integrated management indigital design, analysis and manufacture, which laid the foundation in digitalmanagement for heavy-duty machine.The special-purpose engineering platform was designed based SOA framework.SOA framework is flexible and functional that meet the needs of swing angle millinghead data management platform.The secondary development tool PRO/TOOLKIT of PRO/E effect as APIfunction of development interface. 3D model and attribute information wereextracted changed into XML files and stored last. In this process, data and modeldocuments were exchanged and shared.APDL language was used to develop interface program. The result documentswere extracted after structure analysis. The proceess achieve seamless integrationbetween ANSYS and digital design platform; The simulation result of ADAMSsolver were extracted and stored in AMD through object interfaces with softwaredevelopment kit SDK of ADAMS.The product model informationt, attribute information and analysis results dataof CNC tools were queried and managed successfully in the digital design integration platform. This integration system provides a prototype for the similarproducts development in theoretical basis and practical experience.
