What is self-regulated learning? Different schorlars have different point ofviews. My dissertation gives a defination that students can stimulate theirinterior motivations and take an active part in learning and choose their studystrategies according to different courses in my class. And they can adjust andevaluate themselves correctly.My dissertation aims at materializing students' central position andself-regulated learning abilities through building and carrying out an effectiveself-regulated learning teaching mode. Students can change the traditional studymode in chemical study and become self-learners, which settles an basement fortheir all-around and harmonious developing.This teaching mode abondons the shortcomings of traditional teachingmodes and emphasize the purpose for study is not to learn knowledge but tolearn to learn and to experience researching by themselves, that teaching is anequal, co-opertating and communicating process between teacher and students.My dissertation refers that teaching is not only to evaluate teachers' teaching,but students' learning. We should attempt to seek an equal, all-around andcorrect teaching principles for chemical class.According my practice in secondary normal school, I try to build twoteaching modes for self-regulated learning;one is in theory and the other is inexperiment.My experiment was designed as contrasting procedure. Controling thevariables, I use the self-regulated learning mode in the experimented classes,and use traditional teaching mode in contrasted classes. After I finished theexperiment, I am excited to find that the exam scores are much higher inexperimented classes than in the contrasted classed. I also designed thequestionnaire for study, and found the students' studying interest, self-controling,learning strategy and studying result are much better in experimented classes. SoI consider that the two teaching modes will play an instructive roles in chemicalteaching, which adapt to moern teaching theory and request, enhance the qualityfor chemical teaching in secondary normal schools, and improve their studyabilities.
