Abstract/Summary:
The research targeted group are unmarried white-collar group. Based on the real social situation and The Sixth National Census’ s authority data, this article reveals the status of a large number of this group and the growing development of population. However, it can be said that this is a blue ocean.Because in the face of this huge main consumer group, few companies study and design their furniture in current market.Because of the life status of “unmarried” and the work status of “white-collar worker”,this group shows its unique life style. This article applies lifestyle research methods to research the unmarried white-collar group and design their furniture.The main research results as follows:1.Through the study of the lifestyle theory, this article picked AIO lifestyle measurement list and Affairology lifestyle model as the main research method. At the same time, through the analysis of furniture typical case IKEA and cross-occupation typical case Vanke, combined their user research methods to lifestyle model. Finally ensured three investigation elements”Target People”,”Behavior and Needs”,”Event”.2.This article used Questionnaire, User interviews and Household photos to investigate the three elements, and used the quantitative and qualitative way to analysis the investigation results. At last formed into three models:Lifestyle essential information and life attitude model, household behavior and needs model and household event model. Apply “5W”method to integrate three models, ultimately formed unmarried white-collar’s household lifestyle model. This model reflect the unmarried white-collar’s household lifestyle from sleep and rest scene, leisure and entertainment scene, work and study scene, eating at home scene and household storage scene, providing important reference for the subsequent design and research.3.According to the household lifestyle model, this article extract unmarried white-collar’s need in different scenes, and gradually transferred into the elements of the conceptual design. Integrate and classify these elements, three types of furniture products can be response to targeted group’s need.They are soft furniture products, cabinet products and desk products.4.This article learned the modular design idea from Vanke, and gave the three types of furniture exemplary design,and evaluated the exemplary design.This idea of modular design,especially the cabinet modular design is an important innovation of this article.The whole process and result about unmarried white-collar group’s lifestyle can be the reference to furniture research and design.
