The Study Of The Impaction Japanese Tea Culture Has On Japanese Tea Package Design

Japanese tea’s package is one of the most important things in Japanese package field. This thesis will compare and contrast Matcha and Sencha’s packages’ design style to discuss tea tao culture’s influence of the design style in a distinct view. This thesis will also study the different development directions of traditional Matcha and Sencha, analyze the transformation of the tea package around Meiji restoration and argue the different design styles of Matcha and Sencha in the influence of tea tao culture. In addition, this thesis will discuss the different design directions of Japanese modern tea ball and beverage package and then analyze the challenges and opportunities of traditional Japanese tea’s package. Therefore, it use varieties of examples to supplement the blank of tea package. This thesis also hope Chinese tea package design can take the advantage of Japanese one and then inherit and develop Chinese tea tao culture and tea package.
