The Research On The Implementation Mechanism Of Animal Welfare In China

In modern society, to protect the ecological balance and maintain harmony between people and animals has become the consensus of human beings. Today the status of the animals in human society and the problem of how to treat animals has become the world’s attention. Different from animal protection, animal welfare emphasizes respecting animal’s survival rights and promoting the coordinated development of human beings and nature. The animal welfare research is to realize harmony and unity of the modern social benefit, economic benefit and ecological benefit. Animals and human beings have their own survival significance, so we can’t deprive of animal rights for the benefit of mankind. Animal welfare requires us to make animals from unnecessary pain and treat them in humane way, improving their living environment to satisfy their basic survival needs. Of course, it does not mean that humans can’t make use of animals, but using animals reasonably, guarantying the most basic survival state of animals as far as possible.This paper first expounds the connotation of animal welfare, secondly discusses the current status of animal welfare in our country and barriers of our country animal welfare to implementation, respectively from the aspects of traditional ethics, economic base, system construction, finally puts forward some of the recommended measures of the animal welfare in our country.
