The Research Of Ecological Environment In The Town Of Xiaoguan

With the development of industrialization, urbanization and modernization, there have taken on a completely new look in rural society and great improvement of peoples’ living standard as well. However, the rapid development have brought many issues to the surface, especially the deteriorating ecosystem and environment damage which we should stare concerned. Nowadays, the domestic agricultural industry should be categorized to extensive mode of production, which depends on the input of chemical fertilizer and pesticides. We always claim more ecological resources than which we devote, which causes the great pressure of the environment. The protection of ecological environment have fallen behind the growth of economics. Furthermore, because of the weak awareness of environment protection among peasants, the vast rural areas suffered the insufficient input, low efficiency on environment protection, which deviate from the standard of New Socialist Countryside concerning the favorable ecological environment. In the long term, it will also undermine the safety of agricultural production, the substantial growth of rural regions and the solution of Issues of Agriculture. The 18th CPC National Congress proposed the goals about Beautiful China, which put great emphasize on the construction of ecological civilization. The prospective construction of ecological civilization should blend in the construction of social economics and culture deeply. It’s impossible to achieve the goals on Ecological harmony without the rural ecological civilization. The result of the construction of rural ecological civilization concerns whether the goals of Beautiful China could come true. So, it’s is necessary to put enough emphasize on the rural ecological civilization.In this paper, we will take Town of Xiao Guan in City of Gong Yi, Henan Province, for an example and separate the analysis & research on the work of construction of ecological civilization in Town of Xiao Guan into 4 components. First of all, we have made a brief introduction on the natural and economic conditions of Xiao Guan, along with the natural and cultural sources of the damage on ecosystem. Despite the efforts made by local government, the serious industrial pollution and environment problems caused by mining should be eliminated urgently. Secondly, we discovered the problems which Xiao Guan faced to during their construction of ecological civilization. Thirdly, we discussed the content of the construction of ecological civilization in Xiao Guan from 4 aspects, which are the construction of ecological economics, ecological environment, ecological society and ecological awareness, respectively. Finally, we proposed some specific recommendations on Xiao Guan’s prospective construction of ecological civilization concerning the transference of the growth on economics in rural areas, the cultivation of the ecological awareness on natives, the construction of rural economics based on substantial development. We hope that the effort in Xiao Guan can be popularized in the province even nationwide and become a useful reference to other rural areas.
