With the development of science and technology,because of its high labor intensity, low efficiency and other reasons, the traditional glass screen manufacturing technology have been unable to meet the needs of the time. In order to reduce the labor intensity of workers and improve the production efficiency, The manufacturing technology of the glass screen production line is very necessary.Automatic production line is advanced manufacturing technology that combined with computer control technology, modern production management technology, technology of industrial control network. With the development of digital control machine tools, industrial robots and computer technology, the automatic production line can respond quickly to the outside changes, the multivarieties and small batch production can be realized. Therefor,it is used more and more widely in mechanical manufacturing industry.The main research contents are as follows:Firstly, the research background and significance of this paper was briefly introduced. The current stat of the glass screen, glass further processing equipment and the shop scheduling problem at home and abroad were reviewed. Then, the source, the research content and the structure of this paper were introducedSecondly, the overall scheme of glass screen production line was introduced. The process flow of glass screen production line was analysed.The processing system of production line, transport and storage system and control system were designed.Thirdly, from the point of engineering problems, the scheduling problem of the production line was analysed. Considering the performance index, constraint condition and workflow of the production line, the scheduling algorithm based on rules was studied on. The exception handling approach when a fault occured in the manufacturing unit was givenFourthly, the scheduling strategy of the glass screen production line was simulated with computer simulation technology before the system was developed. Thus,the feasibility of the scheduling strategy was verified.The developing process of control system was introduced in detail on the basis of the above.The function requirements of upper machine control system was analysed. The network structure, the communication protocol between equipment and the motion control instruction of control system of glass screen production line were analysed. The control system of the production line on site were debugged and run.Finally, the research work and achievements were summarized. At the same time, several aspects that need to be improved and solved were pointed out in this paper and then and the tasks ahead were forecasted.
