Polyester industrial yarn, depending on its superior performance and low price advantage, is widely used as peng canvas, builder fabric and canvas civil fabric, etc. With the rapid development of social economy and the great acceleration of city construction, the demand of polyester industrial yarn is increasing. The improvement of modern control technology greatly promoted the development of polyester industry. This paper develops the control system for production of polyester industrial yarn spinning and it has certain research significance and practical value.This paper reviews the production development of the polyester industrial yarn at home and abroad. Based on this, the production process of the polyester industrial yarn is introduced and the processing technology is analyzed. Through literature review and practical investigation, the parameters, such as temperature and pressure of the main controlled object in the process of production is determined. General design of the whole control system is established with PLC as the control center, frequency converter as the speed regulating device, and Industrial control unit as the upper computer monitoring system.Industrial yarn spinning control system is designed based on PLC. The CS1G series PLC of OMRON Company, yaskawa H1000 series inverter and RKC intelligent instrument are adopted to deal with the data acquisition and processing, heating and cooling control and to realize multi-function alarm control. OMRON network structure and the field bus technology is used to establish communication network on-the-spot. The control system is established by using configuration software with monitoring interface which is able to adjust the parameters and monitor the state of the system in real time. The field staff can directly operate the upper machine with the help of a monitoring platform. Through the early production testing, the spinning control system works well and the desired design goals and requirements are achieved.
