With the continuous expansion of our country’s economy. Water pollution was more and more serious. Water pollution events made people pay more attention to the protection of water environment. Water pollution not only affected the ecological environment, but also influenced the human health. Therefore, the reasonable utilization of water resources and the prevention of water pollution was becoming more and more important, which put forward higher requirements on the water quality monitoring work in our country. Due to the disadvantages of traditional method of water quality monitoring, such as high complexity, high cost, poor real-time and so on. In order to realize the monitoring of water environment better, we need a new water quality monitoring system to assist in the traditional method of water quality monitoring.In recent years, with the development of modern sensor technology, kinds of sensors can be used in water quality monitoring, and water quality parameter information measurement was becoming more and more simple. With the maturity of the wireless sensor networks, it was possible to realize the real-time monitoring of water environment. ZigBee technology can be widely applied to the wireless sensor network, with its short distance, low power consumption and other characteristics.According to the need of water quality monitoring system and ZigBee wireless communication technology theory. A water quality monitoring system based on ZigBee was proposed in this article. The system collected water quality parameters’data which were monitored by the sensor terminal nodes, and the data was collected by the coordinator node in ZigBee network, and then the data was transmit to the 3G mobile network through the 3G-ZigBee gateway, and transferred the data to the monitoring center in time. The aim of the system is to achieve real-time monitoring of water environment. The design scheme of water quality monitoring system and its working process, measuring principle of conventional water quality parameters and the design of hardware and software were described in detail in this article.In terms of hardware, the ZigBee chip CC2530 of TI company was used as the main chip in this article. The water quality detection module was to sample various water quality parameters through corresponding sensors. The circuit schematic diagrams of thehardware key design were presented in this article. In terms of software, Focus on analyzing the Z-Stack protocol stack of TI company, the protocol stack was modified and transplanted, and the nodes’program flow chart and some source code were presented in this article. The principle of ZigBee tree routing algorithm was introduced in detail and an improved tree routing algorithm was given in this article.Through each module and the overall test, enabling a ZigBee tree network and realizing point to point communication. Experimental tests show that the system can get the data of temperature, pH, conductivity and other parameters of water and transfer the data. The basic functions of the system were realized and met the system design requirements. Compared with the traditional water quality monitoring, this system could realize continuous real-time monitoring, and improve the monitoring efficiency.. |
