In this foundation, through the consulting the research results of existing regionalization, standard regulations of the highway engineering and so on, proposed the goal, principle and method of the highway geological disaster regionalization.Then, take Shi Peijun " system theory of region disasters" as the foundation, carried on the influence factor analysis of highway geological disaster division, and proposed the index system and implementation technology route of regionalization based on the system theory of region disasters, took it as the basis of reference and confirmation of the final achievements of regionalization, simultaneously some parameters also became the division key indexes, and could provide the certain foundation of theory and practice to the thorough regionalization research.Next, proposed highway geological disaster regionalization 3 levels of arrangement and type systems' structure, the first level for the risk region division, the second level for the hazard region division, the third level for the type division; and found concept systems including hazard, vulnerability and risk. According to the above systems put up 3 big indexes systems of hazard, vulnerability and risk on highway geological disaster regionalization. Once more, has established the basic unit of synthesis evaluation model of highway geological disaster regionalization, has taken advanced GIS as the platform, applied the computer chart technology, and established the chart department of highway geological disaster regionalization in China and carry on the overall analysis to various division charts.Finally, h as used unified division method of up-bottom and bottom-up, and man-machine interactive way, carried on the regionalization schemes' research, proposed the highway geological disaster hazards' regionalization in China, and has carried on the division appraisal explanation.
