Campus Ontology Model And Its Integration In The Network In Gis Applications

Along with computer science's development,the GIS continue to face the new challenge. The development of artificial intelligence technology has provided the opportunity to the GIS technology.Because of continuous development and improvement of knowledge,people often get lost in the ocean of knowledge.So it is important to provide a reasonable geographical knowledge.The geography knowledge's reasonable expression and the inquiry are urgently needed one of solution questions.The cognitive science and the Ontology theory provided one important method for understanding the knowledge world.The spatial cognition described the people how to understand the geography space and to carry on the geography analysis and the policy-making process.The geography spatial cognition becomes the important hot spot area of the geography information.In 1995,the United States National Center for Geographic Information and Analysis(NCGIA) published "Advancing Geographic Information Science" report,the geographic information of the three strategic areas of science:geo-spatial cognitive model,the concept of the calculation of geographical research,Geographic Information and Social Research.The spatial relations which have important roles in GIS are the foundation of spatial analysis.A reasonable coordinate frame model,part of spatial direction relations,can describe the direction relations of two geographic objects.The reference frame model,build according to geographic cognition of people and the characteristics of city layout,is helpful to inquiry based on the natural language,qualitative spatial reasoning and the geographic knowledge expression. The ontology can express the knowledge concept which has in common in the domain of geography,describe the connection of two concepts and provide a new way to construct semantic models.This paper mainly studied the meaning of geographic concept based on 12 position city coordinate flame model of Beijing.The characteristic of exchanging geographic knowledge and the way of geographic knowledge expression are also the important parts in this paper.In addition,the paper built Ontology model of geographic knowledge based on the reference frame model The last we will explores the ways of the integration of GIS applications and Ontology and introduce several key technologies of the integrated application.
