21 century is in the times of knowledge exploding, all kinds of information increase very fast. The cycle of knowledge updating is becoming shorter and shorter, and new knowledge and technology come forth in every minute. The fast increasing of knowledge demands that present students improve their ability of self-regulated learning. The fast developed technology of computer and network has created good matter conditions for students' self-regulated learning. The information in the network are abundant, visual, lively, exoteric ,and could communicate with the students etc. In network environment, students would excite themselves' appetites for learning, and improve the quality and efficiency of themselves' self-regulated learning.University physics as a basic course of non-physics specialities' students that they must learn, it plays important effects in improving the students' quality of science and the ability of innovating that other courses can't substitute. But because university physics' theoretics are abstract and can't be understand easily, and university physics' experimentation is interfered easily by the class hour, the laboratorial equipments and some other reasons, many students gradually lose the interest of learning university physics, and some students even have obstacles on the university physics learning. Towards these phenomena, how to let the students recognize they need and could learn university physics in network environment, and use the physics resources in the network to improve the quality and efficiency of themselves' university physics self-regulated learning becomes an important problem that is worth to research. The main discussion of this paper is as follow:First, discussed why it is necessary and doable that students carry out university physics self-regulated learning in network environment. This part discussed why it is necessary that students carry out university physics self-regulated learning in network environment from three aspects as follow: the characteristics of university physics knowledge; the status of students' actual learning; and the demands of society's development. Discussed why it is doable that students carry out university physics self-regulated learning in network environment from four aspects as follow: the flourished development of online education; the abundant physics resources in the internet; the convenient and rapid communicated models and means that network provides; and the mental characteristics of today's university students.Secondly, constructed the model of university physics self-regulated learning in network environment. This part's research was based on the theories of humanistic learning theory, cognitive learning theory, and constructivism learning theory. The model was constructed according with the principles as follow: students should make themselves as the center of the university physics self-regulated learning in network environment; students should communicate and change information with others in the proceeding of learning, and students should contact network learning with real classroom learning. At last, I analyze the basal characters of the model.Thirdly, discussed the methods of university physics self-regulated learning in network environment, and given some suggestions about the present state of university physics self-regulated learning in network environment. This part discussed the methods of university physics self-regulated learning about university physics theoretics learning and experiment learning according with the model of university physics self-regulated learning in network environment. And gave some suggestions about the questions in the process of students' learning.
