Under the market economy condition, competitive characteristic has transformed from some traditional factors such as quantity, price and so on into the quality factor. Quality competition will become the key of victory. Facing continuous variational competitor and customer's requirement, urging enterprise unceasingly perfects the quality controlling system, we must enhance quality, reduce loss, increase benefit, buildup the ability of meeting an emergency to adapt the market variation, in order to keep one's competition strength, product's quality inspection is very necessary.Factor analysis method is applied to this paper in the first section to analyze high voltage cable YJLW02 quality made by Shandong Luneng Taishan cable limited company, whose date of production was the previous half year of 2007 and rating voltage is 64/110kv, combine the ten indices affecting the cable quality to four factors, i. e. electric field intension factor, hot resistance factor, structure size factor, outer shield thickness factor, the research result shows that each factor has an important effect on cable quality.For increasing the insulation quality of XLPE insulation cable circuitry and long reliable running capability, High quality cable raw and processed materials and advanced production equipment and craftwork are necessary; Meanwhile, good quality measure equipment and technology are also important. In which partial discharge data measure is still one of the most sensitive and the most promising techniques. The second part based on the first part, abstract the partial discharge value loading the most part in the first factor and according to the reality, then build model of multivariable linear regressions with it as dependent variable. I get rid of the useless indexes by the backward elimination of variable method, and finally chose 5 indexes as the independent variable to forecast the cable quality. The result indicates the forecast effect is good, and it can be applied to the reality.
