Design And Implementation Of Multimedia Tour Of Electronic Map

With the development of GIS, electronic map, as a new product, acts as aimportant part in information times. Because of the department of data storage anddata display, the form of map display has strongly dynamic character. With theintroduction of multimedia technology and visualization technology, electronic maphas larger advantage in dynamic character of displaying spatial information and inmutual research between user and system.It is based on the research of the development and application of electronic mapof multimedia that the paper discusses component technology and GIS theory andmethod, integrating whole character and development situation of tour resource inJiuQuan. The following things, system collectivity, content structure, system function,interface, are designed, and then realized it using the ComG1S software——MapObjects in Visual Basic environment and developed the electronic tourism map ofmultimedia of JiuQuan. The main content of the paper is as following:(1) At the beginning of this paper, the current situation is concluded in theoretic leveland practice applications. Then, evolution trends and main problems in multimediaelectronic atlas design are researched.(2) GIS and electronic map has been in research, including correlative concepts,development foreground, and the application of GIS is analyzed.(3) Electronic map of multimedia has been in research from theory, including concept,material application of multimedia in electronic map, and the application of image,sound, video, cartoon, text and so on,(4) Integrating material information of JiuQuan, Total design method of electronic mapof multimedia is put forward, and the detail steps electronic map of multimedia ofJiuQuan are demonstrated, including the foundation of electronic map ofmultimedia—data acquirement, data process and storage technology, basic function ofelectronic map and design of query function. Thematic map is made by MapObjectson the platform of VB, not only the software and usage are introduced, and also somecodes are given.(5) Realization of Various functions of electronic tourism map of multimedia ofJiuQuan is introduced.(6) This part summarize research this dissertation, points out the accomplishment thearticle achieved, some shortage needed to better and the direction of development isindicated.
