It focuses on the process of urban land use change and landscape pattern changes in this paper, based on the data of land use change at various stages of rapid urbanization process. The following are some important conclusion:1) It has different characteristics in urban development stages in study area during 1990-2006. From 1990 to 1995, the build-up area had increased dramatically. The intensity of urban land changes and farmland changes had been more intense than of the regional average. From 1995 to 2000, The urban land use had been internal restructured. Blind expansion of urban land was in effective control. Urban area had change a little and Arable land has been restored. From 2000 to 2006, the urban land development had focused from build-up area transfer of the suburbs.
