One-dimensional (1D) photonic crystal is the basic configuration , 1D photonic crystal can be made easily due to its simple structure and has the properties of 2D and 3D photonic crystals, so the relevant theoretical researches are valuable and wide application perspectives are expected.The thesis begins with the structure features and mainly discusses the optical characteristics of photonic forbidden band and defect mode in finite-period ID photonic crystals. It is derived that reflectivity and transmission of random-structure 1D photonic crystal by the method of characteristic matrix,and explains the concept of full photonic bandgap. By studying and analying the characteristics of defective mode in 1D photonic crystals with defects/we get the conclusion that "f"(the frequency of defective mode)will fall linearly with the increase of "n_c"(the refrective index of inserted dielectric layer) and simulate their geometrical figure.We give a method to measure the refrective index by the relation between "f" and "n_c".We study the effect of the existence of imaginary part of defect's refractive index on the characteristics of transmission spectrum.with the increase of width and absorbing of layer, the defect mode will not emerge, instead, the peak of transmission were increased.The bandgap structure of 1D photonic crystals with two defects is analyzed by numeral simulated calculation.With interaction between two defects,the bandgap structure of one-dimensional photonic crystals with two defects is affected by optical thickness between two defects and the refractive index of the defects,The characteristics of degeneracy and split of defect states was observed by the transmission Matrix Methods Simulation,we get the rule of splitting and degeneracy of energy level of defect mode.We defined the correlative coefficient,which can describes interaction between the two defects. And then,we discuss the dependence of correlative coefficient on septal optical thickness and the defect's refractive index.In addition we studied the interaction among thedefects and the bandgap structure of ID photonic crystals with multi defects.Because the coupling action between multi-defect modes,the number of defective modes in the bandgap structure of ID photonic crystals with multi defects is identical with the number of the defects.
