Competitions of economy, overall national strength between nations in 21 century, are competitions of science&technology and talents in fact. Competition of talents is competition of education on earth.The arrival of the time of Knowledge-oriented economy askes new demands on education.Entering the new century, development of high education comes to a new step. High education of ecnomic developed zone is changing from elite to populace. How to strength creative quality of students and improve quality of high education, becomes a important question to solve quickly.The reform of primary education with the core of strengthening students' creative quality, is undertaking, and its important subject is to advocate self-learning. Conducting research-based studying is an efficient way. It has higher demands on furture teachers. The cultivation of teacher is connected with normal education. Deepening teaching reform, entirely increasing the quality of normal student, especially researching-based studying ability, must be the theme of new century in normal education.,This paper selects electrodynamics teaching of physics major in normal university as an example, on base of researching today' s teaching condition of normal university and comparing Chinese and foreign text books, introducing research-based studying in its teaching reform. On theory, exploring the importance , ideas, mode and strategy of conducting research-based studying in normal university;0n practice , in 98 and 99 students conducted practical research of research-based studying,tried to use network in directing students, and acquired positive production, which has valuable reference to further teaching reform in normal university. Students have a full recognization and feeling of research-based studying,developed their personality, and strengthen students' creative consciousness and integratively practical quality.
