Bacteriorhodopsin is the unique protein in the purple membrane of Halobacterium. Upon the absorption of light, BR undergoes a complex photocycle characterized by different intermediate states spectroscopically distinct and can return to the ground state. Genetic engineering and chemical technology are very powerful for the controlled modifications of the physical properties of BR according to the demands of technical applications. M state of variant 096N show stable thermal prosperity at room temperature and we can implement the high resolution image storage based on the photocycle between the B state and the M state. Firstly theoretical counting and exeperiment analyzed characteristic of saturated absorption of BR. During the experiment which set up for high-tesolution image storage of BR film , the problem, which come from the writing/reading system and the BR material, limit the quality of the image, Especially the scattering light from the writting light and the dissipative light from image lens . Finding the best intensity of writing light (25OrnW/crn2?50mW/cm2) as well as the best writing time (1 minutes) can decrease the effect from the scattering light and the dissipative light. At last, 800-line/mm resolutions were achieved...
