| Bacteriorhodopsin or BR is a kind of polymeric biomaterial with obviously photochromic characteristic. Because of its excellent optical character, it becomes the focus of the research works in the field of optical storage. In many optical storage technologies, optical holographic storage technology is valued more and more for its high storage density and high speed of reading and writing. Based on BR-D96N's applications of holographic storage, this paper involves these works:1. BR-D96N's photochromic character is researched:BR-D96N's absorption spectrum of two states photochromic proceed is measured; and according to the Kramers-Kronig relation, the variety of refractive index of the sample, BR-D96N film, is calculated.2. Researches on the properties of holographic storage with BR-D96N films have been done:the holographic image storage experiments are realized under different kinds of conditions (like parallel linear polarization holographic recording, orthogonal linear polarization holographic recording, parallel circular polarization holographic recording and orthogonal circular polarization holographic recording etc.) and comparison on image's contrast and signal noise ratio, and diffraction effective also has been done.3. The collinear holographic image storage experiment on BR-D96N film is finished, and comparisons have been done with traditional dual-beam interference holographic storage on system volume, stability and diffraction efficiency. 4. Researches on non destructive readout on BR-D96N hologram have been done: the relation between diffraction efficiency of BR-D96N's hologram and wavelength of the reconstruction light is calculated theoretically.5. The experiments in which we use ultra violate to promote the diffraction efficiency has been done. At last the diffraction efficiency on different wavelength of 633nm and 695nm has been measured. |
