With the establishment of the stratagem of ocean exploitation in new century, human activities such as sailing, oceanic resource exploitation and harbor construction etc. will expand to more massive space and the research about interaction between sea-ice and man-made structures increasingly becomes more important. This paper discussed the effects of the key factors-content, curing time and different type of cement on model ice抯 physical and mechanical indexes on the basis of the patent product-the DUT-l Synthetic Model Ice抯 prescription of the Nation Outstanding Youth Fund-攖he theory and experiment research on the interaction between sea-ice and man-made constructions (59725919).? This paper introduced the actuality and trend on model ice research and mainly discussed the influences of cement content, curing time and cement type on the model ice抯 physical and mechanical indexes such as density, flexural strength, elastic modulus and compressive strength combined with the characteristics of Bohai Sea ice and similarity principles on model ice and equipments and apparatuses in existence in order to make progress to DUT-l Synthetic Model Ice. Totally 224 average values of the model ice抯 four indexes on seven cement content levels and eight curing time were given. This paper mainly discussed and offered detailed and credible three-dimension material characteristics control charts for sea-ice physical simulation experiments under different conditions. The influences of cement content and curing time on the model ice抯 physical and mechanical indexes were given combined with the statistic formulas and three-dimension charts. All of these established the basis of physical simulation experiments so as to choose the right ranges of the model ice?indexes. At last, the paper also discussed the influences of different compressive velocity on the model ice抯 physical and mechanical indexes and briefly discussed the feasibility of plastic grit抯 circulation.
