With the progress of economic globalization and the constant increase in trade liberalization and the cross-border flows of capital and goods, environmental protection has become a global problem quickly. As the economic activities become more and more frequent, production factors transfers, production and lifestyle changes, we not only enjoy the rising standard of living which is brought about by the economic prosperity, but also face serious environmental problems:the widening of the polar ozone, enhanced emissions of greenhouse gases, global warming, soil erosion caused by over-exploitation of forest and mineral resources, air, water and soil contamination by polluting industries and waste generation and emissions of waste... More and more wildlife species extinct, too many non-renewable resources deplete, so the environment we live in and survive has been seriously damaged. This make people start thinking seriously of the relationship between economic growth and environmental protection. Because international trade is an important factor in stimulating economic growth, how to promote the coordinated development of international trade and environmental protection has become one of the important issues.This article starts from the angle of international trade and environmental protection. First it explains the related theory on international trade's impact on the environment both in and abroad. Then, the paper analyses China's exports environmental impacts of trade qualitative based on the background of China's national conditions, and found out that the environmental impact of China's export trade is completed. Subsequently, by using the results of this paper draw on previous research, the paper establishes the environmental impact of China's manufacturing industry effects model, made an empirical analysis on the three environmental impact:the scale effect, the structural effect and the technical effects, and explored various paths of the export trade, such as opening, trade structure, foreign direct investment, domestic investment and human capital impacts and so on. It also explores the problems behind. To solve the these problems and promote China's export trade and the environment, the paper lists ways on how to promote the harmonious development of trade and environment, including:continue reform and opening up and participate actively in international division of labor; combine all measures policies to promote the domestic industrial structure; attract foreign direct investment, improve technology premium; guide the flow of domestic investment and accelerate economic healthy development; increase human capital stock and promote cleaner production; improve environmental protection laws and regulations, promote the strengthen the functions of government, and so on.
