People's concern about corporate social responsibility was from the social problems and hazards caused by the enterprise on its own development process. In the late 19th century, Western countries'enterprises had been developed bigger and bigger. It caused social problems such as the sharp drop in the stock of resources, environment problems and consumers become weak members of society. So it made the outbreak of corporate social responsibility movements. China's research on the corporate social responsibility was from last century. Although the study of social responsibility was from foreign ideology, it combines Chinese characteristics such as the strategy of sustainable development and building a harmonious society, In response to the international competition, the community has been made lots of efforts to promote corporate social responsibility in order to achieve sustained and healthy development. From now on, our government and relevant organizations have issued a series of corporate social responsibility files and guidance.In the past year 2008, the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake, Sanlu milk powder and a series of social public events made a white-hot focus on the topic of corporate social responsibility. Corporate social responsibility issues gradually arouses People's concern. From now on, "enterprises should take their social responsibility" is an indisputable conclusion. However, business is still an economic organization in essence, they are more concerned about that social responsibility will simply increase the burden or will lead to the improvement of the economic interests of companies, furthermore to achieve business and social a win-win. On the one hand, the community is calling for corporate social responsibility, on the other hand, enterprises are facing growing challenge. Because of the 2008 financial crisis, many coastal businesses have closed in the short term. The impact of the financial crisis is continuing to spread, how can companies develop with stable growth under the impact of environmental degradation, is the company's most concerned about. Growth is an important aspect of corporate financial performance, and also is a relatively long-term indicator. Enterprise as social organizations, need more attention to solve social problems and to concern various stakeholders both internal and external. Social responsibility is not only a great pressure, but also a motive for enterprises'healthy growth. This paper is based on the thinking of the relationship between corporate social responsibility and growth potential.This paper is divided into six chapters, and they are summarized as follows:Chapter 1:Introduction. Firstly, introduce the research background and motive. Secondly, discuss the main content and logical structure of this paper. Finally, present the meaning of this paper and combe the main contributions. This paper accumulate empirical evidence for the research of corporate social responsibility, and promote the development of enterprises healthily.Chapter 2:The basic theory of the corporate social responsibility and the literature review. This part first mainly presents related conceptions and theoretical preparation for the research content, then recall the academics at home and abroad in recent years for the research of the relationship between social responsibility and growth potential.Chapter 3:The basic theory of the corporate growth and mechanism of the corporate social responsibility action. This part first presents related conceptions of the corporate growth, then analysis the different stakeholders acts for social responsibility, to build a logical link between social responsibility and corporate growth.Chapter 4:Model designing. According to previous research, the paper makes two hypothesis, selects the related variables,introduces the methods how to research and build the model.Chapter 5:Empirical analysis. Firstly,the author builds growth figures IOG06,IOG07,IOG08 using Factor Analysis. Then this Paper use mathematical tools of multiple linear regression for empirical analysis on the listed company's data. Empirical data show that results:From the correlation between the two, most variables of corporate Social responsibility are Positively correlated to the corporate growth. In a longer Period, the enterprises fulfill their social responsibility has a Positive impact on enhancing its growth potential.Chapter6:Summary of the research. This part summarizes the contributions and shortages of this paper, and put forward the policy suggestions and the future research direction.The main contributions of this paper are as follows:For the first time, this paper makes the research between social responsibility and corporate growth. It is different from the previous studies which focus on the relationship between social responsibility and financial performance. Meanwhile, when selecting variables, the author selected more comprehensive variables to build the growth figure. Finally, we have the conclusion that the results of the analysis of data support the theoretical assumption of mechanism. In a longer Period, the enterprises fulfill their social responsibility has a Positive impact on enhancing its growth potential.
