Analysis And Design Of Group Life Insurance Business System

With the gradual development of China's insurance market and the increase of the level of management, it becomes very important to extend the usage level of information technology in formalizing the standard insurance operation. It is therefore necessary to apply the advanced insurance management concepts, scientific insurance process design and flexible insurance service system into the software for insurance industry. This paper describes the design and implementation of "group life insurance business system," which provides a highly flexible, and scalable architecture of business for the insurance company to meet the fierce competition in the market and support the fast growing of the group life insurance.The system is built on top of B/S architecture, J2EE platform and MVC design pattern. Both frontend and backend are defined by layers. Frontend system is implemented using JSP and JS, and contains User Interface, Initialization, Client Event and Response, and Interaction with Backend. Backend system is implemented in Java and consisted of three layers, UI data validation layer, BL (Business Logic) layer and BLS (Business Logic Service) layer which interacts with Database.This paper details the system requirement analysis, basic theory, system architecture, design, implementation, and the key technologies used in system design and implementation. The features of the application for the insurance industry are listed in the requirement analysis. In system high-level design, MVC design pattern is applied to design the three-layer system architecture and the role and benefits of each layer are explained. It is followed by the implementation of the new contract module in detail, including the class diagram and class methods which are derived from the requirement. The implementation consideration is described for some of the User Interface and the major functions.After development finished, the system has been deployed and operating well for more than five months now. The new system helps to formalize the business management of the insurance company. This project also refines our company's solution for insurance industry, accumulates experience in technology and project management, and provides a solid foundation for serving more insurance companies.
