Study On The Relationship Between Urbanization And The Development Of Road Passenger Transportation

Since the mid 1990s, urbanization has stepped into a rapid development stage in our country. The economic and personal contacts between regions have been becoming more and more frequent. As a basic and service industry, the road passenger transport industry has played an important role in improving the living standard of people and promoting the communication between regions. Especially in recent years, with urbanization accelerating, the industrial structure becomes more reasonable. The development mode of road passenger transport has changed from the early mission and migration to commuting, tour and business trip, thus requiring better service quality of the road transport. Under this situation, the study on the relationship between the urbanization and the road passenger transport is crucial to improving the service quality of road passenger transport and promoting the coordinated relationship between the urbanization and the road passenger transport industry.Based the analysis both of the development and connotation of urbanization and road passenger transport, this paper analyzes interactive mechanism between urbanization and a road passenger transport from perspectives of the impact of urbanization on the economic and social development and the development mechanism of road passenger transport. The paper also studies the interaction between urbanization and road passenger development through the qualitative and quantitative analysis, builds the "push-pull effect" analysis model of the relationship between the and the correlation between the urbanization and passenger road transport through the logic line of the mutual promoting each other between the urbanization promoting road passenger transport, and comes to the conclusion through a case quantitative study that road passenger transportation development only effects urbanization lightly, while urbanization is an important impetus to the development of road passenger transport, a relationship that one effects the other and one depends on the other.Finally, based on the analysis of the current situation of the development of the road passenger transport in the process of urbanization, the paper summaries some points that need improvement in process of road passenger transport servicing urbanization and presents relevant countermeasures.
