Research On Project Quality Management Under EPCM Mode

Project Management is a rising and developing theory. Because the basis of theory is not complete and the large project management is complex and variable, it causes the large project quality management becomes very complicated and difficult. Some project managers are used to manage project quality by the general quality management theory and methods,sometimes it produces some failure in many projects.Project quality management theory is the core of this paper. Firstly it briefly reviews the development of the project management theory and quality management theory, the development of Chinese project management. Secondly it clarifies the relation of project quality management and general quality management, the relation of engineering project quality management and product project quality management, the quality control points, control processes and control methods of engineering project quality management. Following the implementation of quality planning, quality assuring and quality controlling, it introduces each activity by input, tools and output. Lastly it investigates the current popular and important EPCM project management mode, establishes the procedures of engineering project quality management under EPCM.Finally taking the foreign-owned SIG enterprise project for example, it particularly introduces the overall methods, rules and tools during this project starting phase, implementing phase and closing phase. It summarizes the practical experience by this project. The purpose of this paper is providing some engineering project quality management reference and contributing some engineering project quality management experience.
