| With the increasingly fierce market competition, providing the right products, services to meet customers'current and future needs, and achieving a project performance goal with low-cost, short schedule, high quality, is a difficult threshold for the company. However, the implement of quality management practices is an effective approach to obtain sustainable competitive advantage and build the core competitiveness of enterprises. So there is great practical significance to study on relationship between quality management practices and project performance.The purpose of this paper is to explore how quality management measures adopted by the construction companies impact project performance. Based on the review of the researchers on quality management practices, this paper have proposed 10 key quality management practices for construction companies, including leadership, planning and upgrading, employee involvement, client focus, ecological quality management, process management, incentive and punishment management, communication management, related parties management and public relation management. And the project performance was divided into project delivery, organization service competence and project profitability. Then, a conceptual model about the relationship mechanism between quality management practices and project performance was developed and several hypotheses were proposed.This study used the software LISREL and SPSS to analyze the effective statistics from 67 questionnaires through the relevant theories of Structural Equation Model. The analyzed result showed that some of the quality management practices have significant impact on the different constituents of project performance, and several recommendation were given according to the conclusions. The study is expected to provide reference for construction enterprises'quality management and promote the harmonious development of the construction industry. |
