Compensation management is a vital topic in modern enterprise human resource management. New-style compensation management system is the main section in people oriented enterprise management system. Some basic rules must be obeyed in order to build an effective and competitive compensation system. For example the compensation system must be fair to all employees and can inspire them. And it is competitive compared with other companies. This needs professional techniques and advanced skills to design a complicated compensation system. Of course, every company has its own specific situations and no complete experience can be used from other companies. There are a great deal of questions about fairness and encouragement in the present compensation systems, so it is necessary and urgent to set up a new compensation system for attracting,encouraging talents and promoting the sustainable and healthy development of the company.This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter expounds the background, purpose, the main content and ways of the research. Especially, the thesis studies and sums up the theory and practice of compensation management, also probes into the advantages or disadvantages of all kinds of compensation system design theory. The second chapter shows the development of a company.It studies the structure of human resource as well as the state of human resource management of the company. After this, the thesis analyses and diagnoses the present situation of the compensation system of the company. The third chapter gives the goals, guiding principle and thought, and through job analysis, job evaluation and the determination of ability, designs the better compensation system based on the position compensation theory and ability compensation theory for the managers and engineers.
