In the 21st century, many countries and regions have brought the boom of the touring leisure in the world, due to the ancient and mystery history and rich tourism resources,China has increasingly attracted the global attention. China's tourism development will be higher than the world average rate of growth,and the inbound tourism also will be growing steadily. Inbound tourism market is the senior tourist market which directly creats the foreign exchange, brings much higher consumption than the national level and the advanced concept of tourism management.Consequently,all of the countries or regions will try their best to research the inbound tourism market. Zhangjiajie City,as a leader in Hunan Tourism, which wants to enhance his competitiveness in the intensely competitive tourism market today, it would pay much attention to the conduct survey and the research about the international markets.The main purpose of writing this paper is that through researching on the historical development process of the inbound passenger markets, conclusion,analysis and evaluation of the tourism resources, and the investigation and location of the target market in Zhangjiajie, then recommends the strategy of Zhangjiajie inbound tourism market, hoping to provide decision-making basis and reference for Zhangjiajie City departments of the tourism management and tourism enterprises, for whom opens a wide range of inbound tourism market structure,attracts more number of people,and more stable and higher income from tourism. Aiming at this issue, it has utilized qualitative and quantitative analysis research technique such as literature analytic method, hierarchical analytic method, comparative analytic method and statistical analytic methodand and so on.The article firstly starts from the tourism resources,investigates general situation and actualities of it, and classifies simultaneously,then establishs the evaluation index system according to the two categories of the natural and cultural tourism resources.And arriving at the competitive advantage in tourism resources of Zhangjiajie from the evaluation of which the comparison of inbound tourism developing trend, interest in tourism resources,and familiarity to Zhangjiajie.Secondly studies the development background of the inbound tourism market, through 18 years of immigration statistics and data on the number of incoming tourists as well as investigating the staying and consumption in major cities in Hunan and Zhangjiajie per person, then obtains the developing achievements and existing problems in Zhangjiajie inbound tourism markets.Before the targeted tourist market positioning and subdividing for their preferences, we can establish the corresponding matrix between the inbound tourism market and the travelled products;,according to its own natural resources and reality of the inbound tourist market development,will design the five core tourist product systems.Finally, we expound inbound Zhangjiajie tourist market development planning scenarios:suggesting the technical, image, regional cooperation and product development of specific countermeasures for inbound tourist market.
