In electrical power systems, it is a permanent theme for an electrical power enterprise to seek a way to improve the reliability of power equipments. This paper objectively analyzes the current situation of the power systems of Huabei Oil Field, aiming at the reconstructive demand of hub power substations, through an abroad investigation in domestic electrical power enterprises and related equipment manufacturers, designs and proposes a reform scheme of hub power substations of the electricity grid of Huabei Oil Field.This paper taks principle of newer technique, lower investment, smaller project quantity, and less influence on electric users during reforming period, and aims at reducing costs and improving reliability, and proposes three schemes. Through comprehensively comparing and analyzing the technical and economical multi-factors, it optimizes the best reform scheme which is technically enforceable and economically reasonable and has scientific and universal natures. This paper offers a theory basis for reaching a domestic advanced level of the whole electricity grid reform of Huabei Oil Field. The research topic represents the direction and mode of electricity grid reform, and provides a powerful and discussion-making support for carrying on the reform.
