The Study About Economic Disparities Of Lanzhou Metropolitan Area

Metropolitan area is a new type of human settlement after the development of world urbanization, having been an evolution tendency of urban system. Metropolitan area is an objective requirement of urban competition and collaboration, meanwhile, it is also an important approach to the regional division re-construct. Benefit from the experience of the developed countries, implementation the strategy of the metropolitan area has become a consensus. Chapterâ…£is the analysis of regional economic disparities, which includes economical differences of each sphere and all three spheres within Lanzhou metropolitan area. Chapterâ…¤is mainly the study of various reasons of regional economic disparities in Lanzhou metropolitan area, the thesis is focusing on four aspects as following:the natural and geographic conditions, the economical structure, investment factor and cultural concept. Chapterâ…¥proposes countermeasures and suggestions for narrowing economic disparities from following aspects: readjusting industrial layout and optimizing industrial structure, enhancing infrastructure construction, improving eco-construction and environmental protection, as well as strengthening the integration of urban and rural construction.
