Since 2007, The U.S. sub-prime crisis "butterfly effect" which caused global financial crisis not only had a broad and profound impact on world economic development, but also changed the world financial structure. In the external environment, an increasingly grim situation, Gansu economic development faces with tremendous pressure. Finance is the core of modern economy, If Gansu economy is out of its predicament, we need vigorously develop the financial sector particularly in banking sector, improve the level and efficiency of their operations and for local economic development. In China,the Agricultural Bank of China commits to support" San Nong " development, facing with the " San Nong " is not only the Agricultural Bank of China's market positioning, but also a realistic choice which enhances the core competitiveness of the Agricultural Bank. As a major agricultural province in the western region, Gansu Province has provided a broad stage and space for reform and development of the Agricultural Bank. Therefore, The Agricultural Bank of China branch in Gansu Province, as an important financial institution in Gansu relative to other commercial banks has a stronger competitive advantage. In this context, we believe that if we can take the of competitiveness Agricultural Bank of China branch in Gansu Province as an object of study, by studying how to maintain and exploit their core competencies in order to improve the ability of their "San Nong" services, responding to the impact of the crisis, to achieve change "danger" to "machine", such a study has certain theoretical and practical significance.Based on the related research result at home and abroad, this paper defines the major content and concepts of the core competitiveness of commercial banks, then from the external business environment, internal resources and other aspects of the situation and applying the SWOT analysis, analyses competencies of the current situation of the branch of the Agricultural Bank of China in Gansu, points out its problems, the last from a strategic positioning, organizational innovation, financial product development, corporate culture construction, human resources management, risk management, puts forward six strategies which upgrade the core competencies of Gansu Branch of Agricultural Bank of China. |
